Author celebrates release of new novel

BROCKPORT – Melissa Ostrom of Holley signs a copy of her novel, Unleaving, for Sharon Stewart of Albion during a book launch celebration on Saturday at the Lift Bridge Book Shop in Brockport.
This is Ostrom’s second book that is published by Macmillan. The 304-page novel highlights the courage and resilience of a 19-year-old sexual assault victim.
Ostrom teaches English literature at Genesee Community College. She previously taught English at Kendall Central School.
Lift Bridge had this display set up in its store for the Ostrom book-signing. Lift Bridge also sells her debut novel from last year. The Beloved Wild focuses on pioneers who settled in Western New York. That book is set in Orleans County.
