Aurora downs Medina in U19 opener

A quick two goal scoring burst midway through the first half keyed the East Aurora Arsenal to a 3-0 victory over Medina at Vets Park this evening in the Buffalo and Western New York U19 Division season opener.

Medina, which is comprised of players from Medina, Lyndonville and Roy-Hart, next faces the Niagara Pioneers at Youngstown at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Medina U17 team, which opened the season with losses to Alden and Akron, will face the Yemen Warriors of Lackawanna at 4 p.m. Sunday at Lyndonville.

The Medina/Roy-Hart Rams U16 team, which is also 0-2 on the young season, faces the Niagara-Wheatfield Revolution at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at Niagara University.

The Medina U15 squad, which is 0-1, faces the Clarence Inferno White at Clarence at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

The Medina U13-14 girls team, which is 0-2, next visits Wilson at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
