Attica cagers post win over Lyndonville

A 10 point second period scoring edge keyed Attica to a 58-40 victory over visiting Lyndonville this evening in a Genesee Region League game.

Leading 15-11 after one period, Attica outpointed Lyndonville 15-5 in the second period to open up a 30-16 half-time advantage.

Owen Thompson scored 17 of his game high 25 points in the first half to spark the Blue Devils which also got 12 points each on the evening from Dawson Nelson and Tyler Meyer.

Eric Neace scored 10, Corey Hydock and Zach Johnson 9 and Jacob Hoffee 8 for the Tigers.

Lyndonville, which is now 3-7 in G-R action, trailed 45-28 after three quarters.

Alexander 66, Kendall 34
Hot long range shooting in the first half sparked Alexander to a 66-34 G-R win over visiting Kendall.

Hitting five early threes, Alexander jumped out to a 26-12 first quarter lead. The Trojans added three more threes in the second period to extend the advantage to 42-20 at the half.

Chris McClinic scored 12 to lead Alexander’s balanced attack.

Brandon Miller had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and John Rath 7 points and 7 rebounds for Kendall.

Holley vs. Wheatland-Chili
The Holley at Wheatland-Chili game was postponed until January 30.

Friday’s scheduled Medina at Albion Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game has been postponed until February 9.
