Area digs out from snow with warmup coming

Orleans County will get a break from the freezing temperatures and steady snowfall. Today is forecast for a high of 30, with the highs reaching 36 on Thursday and 40 on Friday.

On Saturday, the high will drop to 25 with a chance for snow showers.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo said significant lake-effect snow is possible Friday night through Saturday for Genesee, Wyoming and Erie counties.
