The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued another lakeshore flood watch due to the high Lake Ontario water levels, combined with windy conditions.

The flood watch is in effect from late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon for Orleans, Niagara, Monroe and Wayne counties.

“The combination of very high lake levels and moderately strong northeast winds may locally increase lake levels along the south shore of Lake Ontario,” the Weather Service said. “Wave action may further increase shoreline flooding and erosion.”
