AnJo Bombers top Elite; DiCureia has 4 hits
Mike DiCureia had a busy day at the plate on Saturday, smacking four hits in AnJo Bombers 16U’s 19-9 victory over Lockport Elite 18U. DiCureia singled in the first, homered in the third, singled in the fifth, and singled in the seventh.
The Bombers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Thomas Furmanski doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
The Bombers notched six runs in the sixth inning. Zeke Callicutt and Addison Christ each had RBIs in the big inning.
Lockport Elite scored four runs in the sixth inning. The Elite offense in the inning was led by Walters, Snyder, Tyler Sansone, and Burdick, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
DiCureia was on the mound for AnJo Bombers 16U. He allowed one hit and three runs over three innings, striking out three.
