AnJo Bombers score shutout victory

The AnJo Bombers 14U defeated Lou Gehrig Red 3-0 on Wednesday at Roy Hart as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Matt Bradley pitched six innings yielding 4 hits with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Carson Tatro closed out the game in the seventh on ten pitches.

The Bombers took a quick lead in the first inning scoring twice as Cade Littman doubled with two outs.

Tom Furmanski was 3 for 3 at the plate for the Bombers which were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Joe Watson had the most chances in the field with seven at the plate followed by Colin Fragale at first.  Juan Lebron made an exceptional catch on a moon shot that he tracked down with his speed.

The Bombers next face the Lewiston Predators at Washuta Park in WNY Boys of Summer action on Thursday. The Bombers are 2-1 in Boys of Summer action.

Soccer
Medina U17 lost 4-0 to the Roy-Hart Rams Wednesday in Western New York Junior Soccer League action. Medina U19 also lost 8-1 to the Niagara-Wheatfield Storm as Kristian Snyder scored the lone goal.
