AnJo Bombers romp past Niagara Expos

The AnJo Bombers 16U cruised to an easy victory over Niagara Expos 16U 12-1 on Sunday at the historic Sal Maglie Stadium in the Falls.

The Bombers got things started in the first inning when Colin Fragale grounded out, scoring Karl Darling who had tripled to start the game.

Pulling away, the Bombers notched six runs in the fourth inning.  Thomas Furmanski, Mike DiCureia, Cade Littman, Noah Draper, Fragale, and AJ Seefeldt all drove in runs in the frame.

Darling got the start and the win allowing one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five. Furmanski earned the save hurling three innings allowing one run, striking out seven.

The Bombers totaled 13 hits.  Isaiah Callicutt and DiCureia each collected three hits. Callicutt had two booming triples and both Darling and Furmanski also tripled. Littman had two doubles and both DiCureia and Seefeldt also doubled.

AnJo Bombers 16U didn’t commit a single error in the field. Joe Watson had the most chances in the field with 12.

The Bombers next face  Lockport Elite 18U 4 p.m.June 2 at Ray Lee Field on Lincoln Avenue in Lockport.
