AnJo Bombers place second at O.P. Tourney

It was a busy six game weekend for the AnJo Bombers 14U baseball team which placed second at the Orchard Park Tournament.

The Bombers dropped a 6-3 decision in the finals to the West Seneca Warriors which snapped a 3-3 tie with 3 runs in the sixth inning.

The Bombers scored twice in the first on a two-out single by Cade Littman.

Tom Furmanski and Joe Watson both had 2 hits.

In the semifinals the Bombers defeated Olean 9-6 in a sea-saw contest.

The Bombers scored 4 times in the third inning on hits by Carson Tatro and Littman and a fielders choice play off the bat of Rylend Callicutt who also struck out 7 on the mound.

Furmanski, Matt Bradley, Juan LeBron and Reed Albee each had 2 hits.

Earlier in the tourney the Bombers defeated the Boston Badgers 6-5 on a walk of  hit by Callicutt and the Lakeshore Cardinals 17-7 as Tatro had a three-run double to highlight a 5 run fifth inning. The Bombers also tied Gaffer 4-4 as Furmanski hurled a complete game with 8 strikeouts.  Furmanski and Colin Fragale both had multiple hits.
