Amherst trims short handed M-L U15 squad

Playing with no substitutes, Medina-Lyndonville United U15 lost to Amherst 3-1 Friday night in a Buffalo and WNY Junior Soccer League game.

Amherst scored with two minutes left in first half but M-L pulled even when Jack Whipple scored directly off of a corner kick eight minutes into the second half.

However,  Amherst scored with 20 and 8 minutes left to claim the win

Kevin Travis made 8 saves in goal.for M-L which is now 1-1.

“Playing  with no subs and I think we just ran out of gas towards the end,” said Medina Coach Jeremy Leno. “It’s tough to single out any particular player for their effort last night because every one of the 11 played with passion and left everything they had on the field.”

Girls U18 Division
Leading by a narrow 1-0 margin at the half, Penfield went on to down Median/Lyndonville 3-0 Friday in a Rochester District Youth Soccer League girls U18 Division contest.
