Amherst stickmen stymie Medina
Able to manage just one goal in each period, Medina dropped a 12-4 decision at Amherst this afternoon in a non league lacrosse game.
Amherst built up leads of 3-1 after one period, 5-2 at the half and 8-3 at the three-quarter mark.
“All the credit to Amherst they played a very good game,” said Medina Coach Gordy Luthart. “They are fundamentally sound.”
Christian Silversmith scored 3 goals for Medina and Chaise Prest 1.
Silversmith now has a team leading 27 goals on the season as Brendan Luthart with 23 and Mason Lewis with 19 round out the Mustangs top three scorers.
Now at 4-4 overall, Medina next visits Wilson on Thursday for a Class D Division contest.
