Albion U14 posts 5th diamond win

Improving to 5-1, Albion’s U14 team used back-to-back big scoring innings to power past Sweden/Clarkson 13-0 today in a Brockport League baseball game at Barre Town Park.
Albion took a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning on RBI singles by Bryce Kelly and Deyonci Farley.
A single by Ryan Krenning and an error set up the threat.
Albion later broke the contest open by erupting for 5 runs in the fourth frame on a double by Kelly, a triple by Farley, 2 errors and a wild pitch.
Singles by Thomas Furmanski and Patrick Ricker aided the uprising.
Furmanski then belted a grand slam home run to cap a big 6 run fifth inning uprising which closed out the run-rule victory.
A single by Cole London and an error plated the first 2 runs of the inning.
Bryce Kelly delivers a pitch for Albion.
Kelly, Furmanski and Farley each finished with 2 hits.
Furmanski and Kelly shared the pitching durities combining on a 2 hitter with a total of 11 strikeouts.
The loss drops Sweden/Clarkson to 4-3.
Albion next faces Sweden/Clarkson in a rematch on Tuesday at Brockport.
