Albion girls are second at X-C sectionals

Contributed Photo – The Albion girls cross-country team earned second place honors in the Class B2 race at the Section VI championships held today at Bemis Point Country Club. The Albion squad includes in front Mallory Adams, Emma Mathes and Alanna Holman, In back are Avery Gaines, Hannah Grammer, Madison Narburgh and Alexa Adams. Holman finished seventh to advance to the state meet. The Niagara-Orleans League champion Newfane boys and girls teams both earned top honors in the Class C race. In the boys race, Newfane’s Samual Auernhamer finished first and in the girls race Kim Goerss placed second for the Lady Panthers. The Barker boys squad finished third in the Class D race led by Peter DiLorenzo’s ninth place finish. In the girls Class D race Barker’s Gabby Baker placed 10th. The girls Class C race also had Akron’s Margo Henley finish fifth and Roy-Hart’s Anna Rickard tenth.
