All WNY field hockey honors for N-O trio

Three Niagara-Orleans League players have earned spots on the first team of the All Western New York field hockey squad.
That trio includes Medina junior midfielder Penelope Schalck, Akron junior goalie Marissa Brege and Akron sophomore midfielder Madigan Regan. Schalck, who was named N-O Player of the Year, had 20 goals and 11 assists.
All three players have also earned All-State honors.
The N-O also had a trio of second team All WNY selections in Barker junior midfielder Madelina Pavlock, Roy-Hart sophomore attacker Adella Dukes and Akron sophomore defender Madison Gates.
In addition, Barker senior Madilyn Detschner and Roy-Hart junior Dillan Santella both received Honorable Mention.
