All State soccer honors for local players

A trio of local players have earned spots on the All State girls soccer squad.

Holley senior Zoey Wolf has been named to the Class C second team. A defender, she had 5 goals and 3 assists for the Lady Hawks this season.

Kendall sophomore Sophia Picardo has been named to the Class C third team. A midfielder, she had 17 goals and 27 assist this season for the Lady Eagles.

Roy-Hart senior Kaitlin Mettler has been named to the Class B third team. A forward, she had 36 goals and 10 assists for the Lady Rams.

Wilson freshman Addison Elia, who had 24 goals and 7 assists, was named to the Class C second team.

Akron senior defender Aleyna Susfolk was named to the Class B fourth team.

State Class C champion Byron-Bergen had a total of four players earn All-State honors.

Junior midfielder Mia Gray who has been named state Class C Player of the Year, heads that quartet. A first team All-State honoree she had 40 goals and 25 assists on the season.

The Lady Bees also placed senior goalie Natalie Prinzi on the first team, junior Elizabeth Starowitz on the second team and junior Grace DiQuatro on the third team.
