All school districts in Orleans closed today
All five school districts in Orleans County are closed today. Albion notified parents at 5:15 this morning. The Albion cancellation also includes high school parent conferences and afterschool activities.
Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville and Medina all made the decision on Wednesday. The Orleans County Christian School also is closed.
In Orleans, about 60 percent percent of the county remains without electricity this morning. National Grid is reporting that 10,939 of its customers in the county are without power. The company said it is “assessing condition” and didn’t give an estimated time for restoration.
