Alexander scored touchdowns on its first four possessions to key a 42-0 victory over Holley this afternoon in a Genesee Region League football game.

Quarterback Nelson Burke hooked up with Jacob Riggs for touchdown passes covering 9 and 10 yards and running back Dylan Scharlau tallied twice on runs of 16 and 80 yards to spark Alexander out to a commanding 30-0 half-time advantage.

Holley’s best scoring threat came in the second quarter when 12 yard runs by Clarence Moyer and Kevin Avery helped move the Hawks to the Trojans 30 before the drive stalled out on downs. Moyer also had a 14 yard pickup to move the Hawks into Trojan territory in the fourth quarter before an interception wiped out the threat.

Adam Stetzel led Holley in tackles with 11 as Avery was in on 9 stops, Nick Smith 7 and Corey Winter 6.

Alexander improves to 3-1 in the league and 4-1 overall while Holley slips to 0-4, 0-5.
