Alden girls rally late to down Roy-Hart; Lyndonville and Barker bow
Alden rallied with a big 20 point fourth quarter scoring burst to edge past host Roy-Hart 54-48 this evening in a non league girls basketball game.
Roy-Hart held leads of 21-18 at the half and 41-34 at the three-quarter mark but Alden rallied to outscore the Lady Rams 20-7 in the decisive final quarter to claim the win.
Cookie Altieri took game high scoring honors with 18 to lead Alden.
Ellie Todd scored 13, Meghan Washington 11, Ava Bligh 10 and Maddy Glena 5 for Roy-Hart.
Akron 47, Lyndonville 35
Leading by a narrow 23-19 margin at the half, host Akron pulled away over the final two periods to claim a 47-35 non league win over Lyndonville.
Neely Abrams scored 16 to lead the way for Akron which opened up a 37-26 advantage at the three-quarter mark.
Makenzie Muck scored 16 and Aubrey Lewis 14 for Lyndonville. Muck also grabbed off 15 rebounds.
Tonawanda 43, Barker 23
Up 25-18 at the half, Tonawanda pulled away form a 43-23 non league win over host Barker.
Gabby Baker scored 8, Kylie Miller 6 and Emily Annable 4 for Barker.
