Albion spikers down Newfane in 3

Albion scored a three set 25-14, 25-12, 25-23 victory over visiting Newfane this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match.

Maya Knaak had 8 spiking kills, 7 digs and 2 service aces; Bre Johnson 17 assists and 2 aces and Logan Conlon 9 digs to lead the way for the Purple Eagles.

Albion is now 2-5 and Newfane 2-6 in N-O action.

Holley: 25, 25, 13, 13, 25, Kendall: 22, 23, 25, 25, 19

Holley outlasted Kendall in five sets in a Genesee Region League match 25-22, 25-23, 13-25, 13-25, 25-19.

For Holley,  Adriana Botello had 4 aces, 4 kills, 10 assists and 3 digs. Libero Rachael Howard led the defense with 19 digs and 4 aces and  Ava Parr had 3 aces, 7 kills, and 7 digs.

For Kendall, Brittney Marks had 25 digs, 10 assists, and 8 aces;  Autumn Woodward  20 digs, 9 aces, and 7 kills and Lauren Pilon 8 digs, 4 aces and 5 kills.
