Purple Eagles rally falls short at Dunkirk
A second half comeback bid fell short as Albion dropped a 40-26 decision at Dunkirk this evening in a B2 Division game.
Trailing 27-6 at the half, Albion battled back to with a touchdown twice in the second half but could not pull even.
The Purple Eagles rallied back to within 27-20 in the third quarter after a 14 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Blake Preston to Seth Krenning and an 83 yard TD run by Cencere Lowe. A fumble recovery by Kyle Radder set up that scoring opportunity.
Albion later pulled to within 34-26 after a 26 yard Preston to Krenning touchdown pass but could get no closer.
The Puple Eagles lone first half score came on a 62 yard run with a fumble recovery by Auston Johnson.
Now at 0-2, Albion will next host Roy-Hart/Barker at 7 p.m. Friday in the debut of the Purple Eagles new turf field.
