Albion youth wrestlers place high at Lockport Kids Tournament

A total of 15 members of Albion’s Purple Eagles Wrestling Academy placed in the top four at the Lockport Kids Tournament this past weekend.
Albion had Matthew Schomske place first; Colton Moreland, Jayovsnni Ostrander, Drake Schomske and Jayden Travis second; Paysen Sanders, Michael McElwain, Justin Mengs, Rocco Sidari and Noah Harrison third and Jeremy Lutes, Stryker Sanders, Thailer Seibert, Homer Mathes and Dennis Mathes fourth.
The other Albion wrestlers who participated included Kyle Lutes, Gavin Boyce, Liam Leader, Mikey Madison and Alex Picirilli.
In the team competition Albion placed 7th out of 48 teams.
In all some 434 wrestlers completed in the tournament.
