Albion youth gridders split with Alden

Albion earned a split with visiting Alden Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action.

The Albion Mini Division team behind 3 touchdowns from Noah Harrison, beat Alden 34-6. Harrison had 2 TD runs of 2 and 44, also caught a 43 yard td reception from Nate Gibson.  Gibson also had a 31 yard TD pass to Wesley Olles.  On the ground Gibson had 95 yards, Harrison 77 and Jayovanni Ostrander added a 40 yard TD run.

On defense, Mason Snook had 9 tackles and a fumble recovery, Olles 6 and a fumble recovery, Harrison added a sack and forced a fumble.

The Albion JV team lost to Alden 40-20.  Makyell Walker had a huge day on the ground for Albion picking up 200 yards and 3 touchdowns of 62, 50 and 18 yards.

Xavier Byrd lead the defense with 15 tackles, Walker added 7, Dylan Narburgh and William Farnsworth picked up 5 each.  Blake Preston, Narburgh and Jared Ostrander each a sack.  Ostrander also had a fumble recovery.

Albion’s Varsity Division team had a 2-0 forfeit win.
