Albion youth football has three win day

Albion took three out of four games from visiting Roy-Hart/Barker in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action Saturday.

Beginner
Albion 48, Roy-Hart/Barker 7

In a battle of the unbeatens, Albion ran away with a 48-7 win.

Elian Almonte had 216 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns to led the offensive ground attack. Conor Murphy had 76 and a score, Moses Taylor 66 with 2 scores and Greyson Roberts added a TD. Almonte, Murphy, Carter Carithers and Taylor (2) added PAT’s.

Almonte led the little Eagles defensive shutdown with 12 tackles. Carithers and Taylor added 5 tackles a piece.

Mini
Roy-Hart/Barker 26, Albion 19 (OT)

A game that lived up to the great game expectations, R-H stayed unbeaten with a 26-19 victory over Albion in overtime.

Jayce Torres had 4 carries for 119 yards and 3 touchdowns before leaving the game with a injury. Camden Holt picked up 52 yards on the ground. Liam Pearl added a PAT.

Zion O’Neal led the defense with 8 tackles, Cayden Farrell, Liam Saporito and Holt added 5 each.

JV
Albion 40, Roy-Hart/Barker 0

Albion’s offense had a big day on the ground picking up 364 yards. Heyden Almonte led the attack with 156 yards and 3 touchdowns, Colton Moreland 100 yards and score and Jermiah Hildreth added a TD and PAT.

Landyn Galligan picked up 5 tackles on defense. Moreland had 3 tackles and a safety.

Varsity
Albion 25, RH 18

Kendrick Russaw had 22 carries 200 yards and 4 touchdowns to led the offense. Hayden Cowley picked up 23 on the ground.

Mosehard Hunt, Tyriek Johnson, Oliver Stoffa, Hoyt Aina, James Kristein, Gavin Smith, Russaw and Cowley led the defense.
