Albion wins U15 soccer season finale

Capping off the season on a high note, Albion downed visiting Scottsville 3-2 Wednesday evening in a Rochester District Youth Soccer League girls U15 Division game.

Breaking away from a 1-1 half-time deadlock, Albion took charge as Aurora Serafin scored on a penalty kick and Josie Dusett tallied off an assist from Kayli Miller for a 3-1 lead.

Charley London scored Albion’s lone first half goal.

Serafin and Jessica Penna shared the goaltending duties.

Albion finishes the season at 7-4-1.

Boys U17
Medina-Lyndonville 1, Wilson 1
Medina-Lyndonville United rallied for a second half goal to gain a 1-1 tie with host Wilson in a Buffalo and Western New York Soccer League U17 Division contest.

M-L United erased a 1-0 deficit when Nathan Dillenbeck scored off an assist from Jack Whipple.

Now at 5-0-1, M-L United next visits undefeated (5-0) Niagara-Wheatfield on Saturday in a key contest for the division lead.
