Albion wins N-O softball season opener

Albion posted a 14-1 five inning run rule victory over visiting Newfane this afternoon to open the Niagara-Orleans League softball season.

Kenzi Snook had 4 hits, including a home run, and Cami London 3, including a double, triple and home run, to lead the Albion attack as Alison Gibson and Aubrielle Barry both chipped in with a pair of hits.

Alana Irvine picked up the win in the circle striking out 5 and walking 1.

Bailey Patcyk had two hits, including a triple, for Newfane.

Roy-Hart 9, Wilson 5
Lila Brigham banged out a single and a double and Kaitlin Mettler, Millie Owens, Abby Fox and Peyton May each chipped in with a pair of singles to lead Roy-Hart to a 9-5 N-O opening win over host Wilson.

Owens, Hayley Hillburn and Alayna Kowalski each drove in two runs.

Owens had a two-run single to cap a three run first inning.

The Lady Rams later had a big five run fourth inning on a two-run single by Hillburn, and RBI double by Brigham and RBI singles by May  an Mettler. Hits by Owens and Fox set up that threat.
