Albion wins GLOW 18U playoff semifinal

Moving on top to stay with a quick three run first inning scoring burst, Albion went on to down visiting Dansville 4-2 in the semifinals of the GLOW Baseball League 18U Division playoffs Tuesday evening,
An RBI double by Elliott Trapiss, a groundout off the bat of Gavin Boyce and an RBI single by winning pitcher Kaiden Froman plated the three first inning runs as a leadoff single by Drew Boyce ignited the uprising.
Albion’s other run came in the fourth frame on a double by Viktor Snyder following a single by Gavin Boyce.
Froman pitched the first five innings allowing only 2 hits and striking out 7. Trapiss hurled the final frame giving up no hits and fanning 2.
Albion will now face the winner of the Pavilion vs. Nunda semifinal in the championship game at 5:30 this afternoon at Dwyer Stadium in Batavia.
