Albion vs. Medina rivalry to highlight week
Two-time defending champion Medina will begin defense of its Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball title on Friday as the Mustangs host rival Albion at 7 p.m.
Both teams will tune up for that meeting by hosting non league games on Monday as CG Finney visits Albion and Medina hosts Tapestry. To date against non league competition the Purple Eagles are 1-3 and the Mustangs 0-2.
Albion will also host Medina in an N-O girls basketball game on Friday.
The N-O girls season will get off to a big start as defending champion Wilson visits rival Newfane on Monday.
N-O swim competition begins on Tuesday with Newfane at Medina, Albion at Barker and Roy-Hart at Akron. Newfane is the defending girls champions and Roy-Hart the defending boys champs.
