Albion uses fast start to down Wilson

A quick goal in the first three minutes ignited Albion to a 2-1 win over visiting Wilson this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Brylie Hapeman scored just 2:38 into the game off an assist from Claire Squicciarini to give Albion the lead for good.

That duo then reversed roles later in the half as Squicciarini scored from Hapeman with nine minutes remaining to give the Purple Eagles a 2-0 lead at the half.

Emily Kelly scored for Wilson in the second half.

Albion is now 6-4-1 and Wilson 7-4-0 in N-O action.

Akron 9, Barker 0

Kara Sequin had 3 goals and 5 assists and Jenna Robnett 3 goals to lead Akron (9-2) to a 9-0 win over Barker (0-11).
