Albion U17 girls rally to tie Gananda

Coming from behind in the second half, Albion earned a 2-2 tie with visiting division leading Gananda this afternoon in a Rochester District Youth Soccer League U17 girls game.Albion did jump out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Vivian Rivers in the opening minutes.

However, Gananda rallied to tie the game before half-time and then to take a 2-1 lead on a penalty kick goal about 15 minutes into the second half.

Albion though came battling back to earn a tie on a goal by Anna Lewis with about 10 minutes to go.

Albion is now 1-2-3 and Gananda 6-1-1.

Allbion next visits Churchville on Thursday.
