Albion U17 booters win to stay in title race

Staying in the thick of the title race, Albion defeated visiting Genesee Valley 3-1 Sunday evening in the boys U17 Division of the Rochester District Soccer League.

Improving to 7-2, Albion holds the division lead by a half game over Scottsville (6-1-1).

Albion jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in the first half on goals by Chase Hall and Ryan Reed.

Nick Reed added an insurance tally in the second half for Albion.

The Albion defense got strong efforts from Donato Rosario, Marcos Sanchez, Jacob Squicciarini, Drake Arnold and Nick Reed.

Albion next hosts Churchville at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
