Medina bows in U17, ties in U19

Albion’s U17 boys squad made a lone goal stand up for narrow 1-0 victory over Genesee Valley at York Wednesday evening in a Rochester District Soccer League game.

Dylan Bader scored the lone goal, off an assist from Dakoda Henhawk, as Albion improved to 6-2.

Morgan Seielstad earned the shutout in goal as Marcos Sanchez, Jacob Squicciarini, Bader, Dan Beam, Nick Reed, Donato Rosario and Alejandro Ocampo Jr. all helped to key the Albion defensive effort.

In Buffalo and Western New York Soccer League boys U17 action, Medina dropped a narrow 1-0 decision at Amherst which scored the game’s lone goal just five minutes into the first half.


Medina 2, Lockport 2

Thomas Goetze scored both goals as Medina played to a 2-2 tie with visiting Lockport in a U19 Division contest.

Roy-Hart dropped a 3-0 decision to visit Cheekktowaga after also losing 5-0 to Niagara Pioneer on Monday.

Baseball – Midget B

Somerset 4, Roy-Hart 2 0

Eddie Wasnock pitched a two hit shutout as Somerset posted a 4-0 win over visiting Roy-Hart 2 Wednesday in a Lockport Midget B League game.
