Albion U16 wins high scoring diamond contest

Pounding out 15 hits, Albion’s U16 team outlasted Batavia 2 in a high scoring 17-11 Batavia League baseball game this evening.

Deyonci Farley and Patrick Ricker both had 3 hits and Drew Caldwell and Bryce Kelly 2 each to lead the Albion attack.

Farley belted a three-run home run and James Denencourt had a three-run triple to highlight a big 6 run second inning for Albion.  Farley also banged out a two-run homer in the fourth frame.

Albion also had a big 5 run sixth inning uprising which included two-run singles by both Ricker and Austin Aman and an RBI single by Mike Harling.

Denencourt and Ricker shared the pitching duties allowing a total of 8 hits.

Alex Rood hit a home run for Batavia 2.

Albion, which improves to 3-2, next faces Oakfield-Alabama on Saturday.
