Albion U14 thumps Chili 1 with 18 hits
Pounding out 18 hits, Albion U14 romped to a 16-0 victory over host Chili 1 this evening in a Brockport League baseball game.Thomas Furmanski, Bryce Kelly, Deyonci Farley, Drew Caldwell, Patrick Ricker, Colby Ferchen and Cole London each banged out 2 hits to lead the Albion attack.
Furmanski, Bailey Blanchard and Ricker shared in the pitching duties combining for a 3 hitter with 8 strikeouts.
Up 5-0, Albion broke the game open by erupting for 6 runs in the third inning highlighted by a triple by Furmanski and a double by Ricker.
Albion tacked on 4 more runs in the fifth frame on a burst of 6 straight hits.
Now at 2-1, Albion next hosts Spencerport 2 at 6 p.m. Thursday at Barre Town Park.
