Albion U14 rolls past Caledonia

Scoring runs in bunches, the Albion 14U diamond squad rolled past host Caledonia 15-2 Saturday in a Brockport League game.Ryan Krenning, Bryce Kelly, Patrick Ricker, Bailey Blanchard and Thomas Furmanski each banged out a pair of hits to lead Albion’s balanced attack.

Albion took charge at the outset scoring 6 quick runs in the first inning on a barrage of 7 singles.

A triple by Kelly then highlighted a 4 run third inning uprising which all took place with two outs.

Krenning then tacked on a three-run home run in the fourth frame after a walk and a single by Nick Sacco.

Sharing the pitching duties, Furmanski allowed 2 hits and struck out 8 and Kelly gave up 2 hits and struck out 3.

Improving to 3-1, Albion next hosts Chili 2 at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Barre Town Park.
