Albion U14 opens diamond season
Albion’s U14 baseball team has opened Brockport League competition with an 18-6 victory over Chili 2 and a 12-5 loss to Spencerport 1.
Bryce Kelly, Dylan Fox and Patrick Ricker combed to hurl a 2 hitter for Albion in the win over Chili. Kelly registered 9 strikeouts in 3 innings of work on the mound.
At the plate, Albion pounded out a total of 16 hits including 3 by both James Denoncourt and Drew Caldwell and 2 each by Kelly, Bailey Blanchard and Deyonci Farley.
Kelly also had 2 hits and Fox, Denoncourt and Colby Ferchen 1 each in the loss to Spencerport as Albion was hampered by a rash of walks and errors.
Albion next visits Chili 1 on Tuesday.
