Albion U14 nipped by Sweden-Clarkson
Avenging a shutout loss (13-0) last Saturday, host Sweden-Clarkson outlasted the Albion U14 team 13-11 this evening in a Brockport League game.
Sweden-Clarkson scored in every inning as a pair of runs in the sixth proved to be the difference.
Trailing 9-3, Albion rallied back into a tie by erupting for 6 runs in the fifth inning as Dylan Fox had a two-run double, Colby Ferchen a two-run single and Austin Aman an RBI single.
Albion retied the contest at 11 by tallying twice in the sixth on RBI singles by Patrick Ricker and Drew Caldwell but could not gain the lead.
Ferchen had a total of 3 hits as Caldwell and Fox both had 2.
Now at 5-2, Albion next hosts Spencerport 1 at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barre Town Park.
