Albion trio earns All-WNY volleyball honors

Albion, which captured a second straight Niagara-Orleans League championship this past season with a perfect 12-0 record, has placed three players on the All-Western New York small schools volleyball squad.

The Purple Eagles have placed junior Kelsee Soule on the first team and sophomore Chanyce Powell on the second team as junior Meghan Hurley has received honorable mention.

In addition, Medina senior Nicole Blount, Newfane senior Erica Wright and Wilson senior Megan DiLaura also all received honorable mention.

All six players earned first team N-O All-League honors.

Soule had 182 spiking kills, 62 service aces, 250 digs and 22 assists this season.

Powell had 148 kills, 67 blocks, 99 digs and 47 aces.

Hurley had 268 assists, 65 kills, 40 aces, 19 blocks and 169 digs.

Blount had 172 kills and 66 aces. She finishes with career totals of 258 kills and 118 aces.
