Albion trims Wilson in N-O softball

Albion trimmed visiting Wilson 5-3 this afternoon to improve to 4-3 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition.

Meghan Hurley had 3 hits and Ellen Narburgh 2 for Albion which also got RBI hits from Brylie Hapeman, Olivia Prest and Sierra Newton.

The loss drops Wilson to 1-6.

Newfane 6, Medina 5
Newfane rallied for a pair of runs in the home half of the sixth inning to edge past visiting Medina 6-5.

A sacrifice fly by winning pitcher Cassidy Geise and an error plated the decisive two runs for the Lady Panthers.

Newfane also scored three times in the first inning as Olivia Littman had a two-run double.

Olivia Littman and Alexa Littman both had 3 hits on the day.

Medina scored twice in the second inning on a two-run single by Haylee Cogovan.

The Mustangs then grabbed a brief 5-4 lead by scoring three times in the top of the sixth as Abi Smith, Courtney Bailey and Brandi Guild all had hits.

Newfane is now 5-3 and Medina 3-3.

Roy-Hart 13, Barker 4
Leading 5-3, Roy-Hart used a big 8 run fifth inning scoring burst to key a 13-4 win over visiting Barker.

Sam Choate picked up the win in the circle for the Lady Rams giving up 7 hits and striking out 4. She also had 3 hits.

Kayla Brown, Maddie Fry and Jamie Bower each added a pair of hits for the Lady Rams. Brown’s hits included a two-run single in the decisive fifth frame.

Mary Rounds and Courtney Bodine both had 2 hits for Barker.

Roy-Hart is now 6-2 and Barker 3-5.

Akron 18, CSAT 3
Frontrunning Akron stayed perfect at 7-0 with an 18-3 romp over CSAT as Sydney Leeds had 3 hits and Abby Stone and Kayla Thomas 2 each.

Mattie Klein registered 9 strikeouts in the circle for the Lady Tigers.
