Albion trims Roy-Hart in N-O tennis
Improving to 2-3, Albion trimmed host Roy-Hart 3-2 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.
A win at second doubles by the duo of Madelynn Snook and Emily Graham proved to be the deciding point for Albion.
The Purple Eagles also got straight set wins at first singles by Carson Bader and at second singles by Leo Bolton.
Roy-Hart, which is now 3-2, got wins from Nick Gutierrez at third singles and by the first doubles team of Marissa Scott and Ceci Santos.
Defending champion Akron stayed perfect at 7-0 with a 4-1 win over Wilson which slips to 3-4.
In a Genesee Region League match, Holley downed Pembroke 4-1 as wins at the first two singles positions by Cavan Bennage and Cora Bennage led the way for the Hawks.
