Turning back a last inning challenge, Albion downed visiting Barker 4-1 this evening leaving both teams at 1-1 in Lockport Midget ‘A’ League competition.

Albion built up a 4-0 lead by scoring twice in the second inning on an RBI single by Nate Fearby and an error and then once in both the fourth and fifth frames on errors.

Barker rallied in the seventh ignited by a double by Devan Mangan and a walk. A  double by Jacob Hoffee then put Barker on the scoreboard and another walk loaded the bases.

However, Albion got out of the jam as Bryce Pritchard registered 2 clutch strikeouts to end the rally and the game. On the night Pritchard allowed 2 hits and struck out 12.

Hoffee likewise went the distance on the mound for Barker giving up 3 hits and striking out 13.

Albion next hosts Orchard Park on Monday and Barker visits Roy-Hart next Thursday.
