Albion to face familiar foe in softball sectional opener
Medina will visit Springville
No. 10 seed Albion will visit Niagara-Orleans League foe No. 7 Newfane at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the opening round of the Section VI Class B1 softball playoffs.
Newfane downed Albion twice during the N-O season by scores of 22-10 and 24-9. The winner will visit No. 2 Alden in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Also in Class B1, No. 9 Medina will visit No. 8 Springville on Tuesday. The winner travels to top seeded Depew on Thursday.
In Class C, No. 9 Barker will travel to No. 8 Randolph on Thursday.
N-O champion Roy-Hart is seeded No. 1 and runner-up Akron No. 2 in Class B2 while Wilson is No. 6.
Roy-Hart will host the winner of the No. 9 JFK vs. No. 8 Lackawanna game on Thursday while Akron will host the winner of the No. 10 CSAT vs. No. 7 Southwestern contest. Wilson will travel to No. 3 Fredonia.
