Albion teams bow in youth football semis
Saturday’s semifinal round of the Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) playoffs at Medina’s Vets Park was a tough one for the three Albion teams.
Albion lost 21-6 to Newfane in the Mini Division, 20-6 to Batavia in the JV Division and 34-0 to Batavia in the Varsity Division.
Noah Harrison had 176 yards rushing, 1 touchdown and 12 tackles for Albion in the Mini Division game.
Makyell Walker had 120 yard rushing and a touchdown and Jared Ostrander 8 tackles for Albion in the JV games.
The matchups for next Saturday’s championship games will have Batavia vs. Newfane in the Mini Division, Batavia vs. Holley in the JV Division and Batavia vs. Tri Town in the Varsity Division.
Holley nipped Newfane 38-35 in the JV Division semis avenging a 36-35 regular season loss.
