Albion takes first place in five events at N-O girls All-League swim meet

Albion took first place honors in five events at the annual Niagara-Orleans All League girls swim meet held this evening at Akron.

The Purple Eagles had a pair of individual event double winners aa Keira Sidari took both the 200 Free (2:09.38) and the 100 Butterfly (1:10.20) and Willow Gaines captured the 50 Free (:26.70) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:15.26).

Gaines and Newfane’s Avery Stevenson tied for first in the 50 Free.

Sidari and Gaines also teamed up with Anna Grillo and Jillian LaBaron to win the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:51.23)

Akron’s Audrey Garverick was a double winner in the 200 Individual Medley (2:33.16) and the 500 Free (6:04.32)

Newfane claimed the other two individual events as Stevenson took the 100 Free (:59.64) and Lauren Enderton the 100 Backstroke (1:11.37).

Stevenson and Enderton also combined with Kimberly Schmitt and Sara Klinger to win the 200 Medley Relay (2:07.27).

The Roy-Hart/Barker quartet of Abigail Glyshaw, Lina Pavlovk, Jillian Ossont and Ava Achtyl took the 400 Freestyle Relay (4:17.69).

Albion also led the team scoring on the day with 85.8 points followed by Newfane 64, Akron 48.2, Roy-Hart/Barker 40.6 and Medina 28.
