Albion swimmers sweep past W-C

Albion scored a doubleheader sweep over host Wheatland-Chili in a non league swim meet Monday evening.

The Purple Eagles won the boys meet 123-29 and the girls competition 117-25.

Staying undefeated at 3-0, the Albion boys squad was led by a trio of individual event double winners as Matt Kovaleski took the 200 Free and 100 Butterfly, Carlitos Sanchez the 50 Free and 100 Free and Harrison Brown the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Free.

Improving to 2-1, the Albion girls squad likewise was paced by a trio of double winners as Rylie Lear captured the 200 Free and 500 free, Michaela Pantano the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke and Liz Furmanski the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Free.

Albion next hosts Barker in the Niagara-Orleans League opener on December 12.
