Albion swimmers split with Akron

Taking first place in all 11 events, Albion romped to a 73-21 victory over visiting Akron this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League boys swim meet.
Akron earned a split on the day by downing Albion in the girls meet 62-30.
The Albion boys were led by a trio of individual event double winens as Harrison Brown took the 200 Freestyle and 500 Free, Carlitos Sanchez the 50 Free and 100 Free and Matt Kovaleski the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke.
The Purple Eagles also had Tyler Kast win the 100 Butterfly and Bailey Maier the 100 Backstroke.

In sweeping the three relays Albion had Maier, Kovaleski, Kast and Devin Olles win the 200 Medley; Maier, Kast, Olles and Sanchez the 200 Free and Sanchez, Kast, Olles and Kovaleski the 400 Free.
Albion improves to 2-1 and Akron slips to 0-3.
In the girls competition, Albion had Elizabeth Furmanski double in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Freestyle and Michaela Pantano win the 100 Butterfly.
Akron improves to 3-0 and Albion slips to 0-3.
