Albion swimmers split with Akron
Albion and Akron split in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening at Akron.
Albion won the boys’ meet 84-60 and Akron took the girls’ competition 98-64.
Justin Kania doubled in the 200 Free and 100 Free and Matthew Kania in the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke for the Albion boys as Leo Bolton added a win in the 200 Individual Medley.
Logan Meyers doubled in the 100 Butterfly and 500 Free for Akron.
Albion and Akron are now both 1-3.
Audrey Garverick won both the 200 Free and 500 Free for the Akron girls.
Willow Gaines doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke and Keira Sidari in the Butterfly and Backstroke for Albion.
Akron is now 2-2 and Albion 1-3.
Newfane sweeps Medina
Newfane swept visiting Medina winning the boys’ meet 88-76 and the girls’ 122-41.
Dmitri Young doubled in the 200 Free and Butterfly and Noah Kneeland in the IM and Backstroke to lead the Newfane boys as Dylan Lamont also took the Breaststroke.
For Medina, Bradley Goyette won the 500 Free, Jackson Reese the 50 Free and Bryson Ford the 100 Free.
Newfane is now 5-0 and Medina 1-4.
Kimberly Schmitt doubled in the 50 Free and Breaststroke to pace the Newfane girls as Avery Stevenson took the IM, Lydia Lamont the Butterfly, Sara Klinger the 100 Free and Lauren Enderton the Backstroke.
Madeline Mark won both the 200 Free and 500 Free for Medina.
Newfane is now 4-1 and Medina 0-5.
