Albion swimmers again split with Akron
In an instant replay of the results of Thursday’s meet at Akron, Albion again earned a split with Akron in a Niagara-Orleans League makeup swim meet at Albion this morning.
Albion again won the boys’ meet this time by a score of 53-37 and Akron took the girls’ competition 53-25.
The Albion boys squad was led by a trio of individual event double winners as Justin Kania took the 200 Free and 100 Free, Leo Bolton the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly and Matthew Kania the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke. Nathan Wehling also took the 100 Backstroke.
Akron’s Evan Iversen won the 500 Free.
Albion is now 2-3 and Akron 1-4.
Brooke Milhollen was a double winner in the 200 Free and 100 Backstroke for Akron which also got wins from Aurora VanDusen (200 Individual Medley), Audrey Garverick (100 Butterfly), Madigan Regan (100 Free) and Morgan Tomporowski (500 Free).
Keira Sidari won the 50 Free and Willow Gaines the 100 Breaststroke for Albion.
Akron is now 3-2 and Albion 1-4.
Albion next visits Roy-Hart/Barker and Akron is at Medina on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
