Albion sweeps Tri Town in youth football
Albion scored a three game sweep over Tri Town in Niagara Orleans Football Association action Saturday. Pembroke topped the Eagles in the varsity division contest.
Beginner
Albion 30, Tri Town 0
Elian Almonte and Moses Taylor each had a pair of touchdown runs for Albion. Greyson Roberts had 96 yards on the ground. Almote, Taylor and Patrick Westlund had PAT conversions.
Almonte led the little Eagles defense with 11 tackles. Carter Carithers had 7, Taylor 5, Roberts and Chase Armer 4 each.

Jayce Torres had a huge day on the ground, picking up 122 yards and 2 TD’s. Camden Holt had 55 yards and 2td’s. Jace DiMatteo had 52, Lincoln Voorhees had 37 on the ground.
Harrison Froman led the Mini Eagles defensive unit with 5 tackles. Kiro Bennett, Zion O’Neal and Holt helped spark the defense. Voorhees and Charlie Bourke had fumble recoveries.

The JV Eagles had a big day on the ground led by Heyden Almonte and Jermiah Hildreth. Almonte picked up 158 yards and a score, Hildreth 102 yards and 2 scores.
Brycen Potter and Anthony O’Neal led the defense with 6 tackles each. Landyn Galligan and Almonte had 5 each. Colton Moreland, Galligan and Potter each had a sack.

Kendrick Russaw and Gavin Smith connected on a 98 yard TD pass for the Eagles lone score.
Mosehard Hunt led the defense with 6 tackles. Russaw had 5 stops. James Kristein, Colin Smith and Oliver Stoffa had 4 each. Kristein and Kendrick blocked kicks.
