Albion sweeps Roy-Hart in youth football

Albion scored a sweep over Roy-Hart in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action Saturday winning the varsity game 37-0, the JV 41-0 and the Mini by forfeit.

Blake Preston lead the JV offense with 110 yards rushing, 69 yards passing and 2 touchdowns in the air.  Makyell Walker had 34 yards receiving,  including a 23 yard TD reception.  Kwame Riley added a 19 yard TD catch.  On the ground, Auston Johnson had 63 yards rushing with touchdown runs of 1 and 20.  Xavier Byrd had a 7 yard TD run with 54 yards rushing and Dylan Narburgh had a 1 yard TD.  PAT’s were scored by runs for James Trembley and Preston,  along with a pass from Preston to Walker.

On defense,  William Farnsworth had 6 tackles and interception and a sack.   Walker and Byrd each had an interception.

In the Varsity game, Albion started off the game with a safety by Jahmeek Riley,  Jacob Hughson added a safety for the Eagles D.  Jabari Johnson led the defense with 6 tackles and Amari Jones with 5.

On offense 5 different players scored on the ground including  Jahmeek Riley, Jones, Amilcar Morales-Aguliar, Shakarion Drisdom and Sh’kwe Riley.  Jahmeek lead the ground game with 79 yards and Morales-Aguliar added 44.  Jones had 65 yards passing.  Aquil Gaffney ran in a PAT and Jones to Hughson for another one.
