Albion sweeps Medina in N-O track meet
Albion swept visiting rival Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League track meet this afternoon.
The Purple Eagles won the boys’ meet 99-42 and the girls’ competition 85-56.
The Albion boys were led by a trio of individual event double winners as Tye Talbot captured the 400 and Pole Vault, Luke Bell the Shotput and Discus and Cencere Lowe the 100 and Long Jump.
Defending champion Albion is now 4-0 and Medina 1-3.
The Albion girls likewise had a trio of double winners as Mia Standish took the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles, Cordelia Rivers the 1500 and 3000 and Michelle Lauro-Ramirez the Shotput and Discus.
Aurora Owczarczak doubled for Medina in the 100 and 200.
Albion is now 1-2-1 and Medina 0-4.

Wilson sweeps Barker
Wilson swept Barker winning the boys’ meet 87-49 and the girls’ 96-45
The Wilson boys were led by a pair of triple winners as Jayden Ruble took the 400 Hurdles, 1600 and 3200 and Ryan Hough the Long Jump, Triple Jump and 110 Hurdles.
Savannah Jones was a double winner for the Wilson girls in the 100 and 200.
Jordyn Kinne doubled for Barker in the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles.
The Wilson boys are now 2-1 and the girls 3-0 while the Barker boys are 0-4 and the girls 1-3.
